Although best known for her decades-long coverage of people and events in Piermont, where she raised her family, Savage often visited nearby Nyack for social gatherings, assignments and events, and she moved here in 2011. Shown in the exhibition are images of beloved Nyack personalities no longer with us, including an iconic photograph of Pete Seeger with the Clearwater sloop and the Tappan Zee bridge behind him.
BEFORE DIGITAL: Savage is also putting together a display showing some of the film processes photographers went through before digital photography became the norm.
The Historical Society will offer Savage’s 1980s black and white post cards of Nyack for sale, and matted digital copies of the 8″ x 10″ photographic prints will be available for $20

The exhibit will run every Saturday from 1-4p through July 29.
