Oil Painting Workshop in Celebration of Edward Hopper’s Birthday
July 22, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Spend a day in the garden celebrating Edward Hopper’s Birthday with an oil painting workshop taught by Anne Kullaf. Ms. Kullaf will start the day with a 90-minute demonstration including time for questions and answers. After the demo, we’ll take a short break for lunch and then bring out our paints to capture to light on the architecture and the gardens. Ms. Kullaf will provide individualized instruction and critique to each participant. We will end the workshop with a group discussion about the works produced during the workshop. Anne Kullaf is a contemporary painter working in a variety of media. Her paintings utilize the principles of drawing from direct observation combined with efficient brushwork and a limited palette. She has been a faculty member of The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, The Hunterdon Museum of Art, and The Center for Contemporary Art. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, she received a Bachelor of Science in graphic design and fine art and also studied painting at The Art Students League of NY. She was chosen as a 2014 Bryant Park Painter-in-Residence, and was invited to be a guest lecturer at the Princeton University Art Museum in July 2017.
