February 2, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm$15 – $20
Rockland Center for the Arts is proud to present a very special evening of music with riverrun, performing a dynamic blend of jazz, Latin, and classical styles. Riverrun is the meeting of two remarkable musicians, founding member of Spyro Gyra, pianist/composer Jeremy Wall and flutist John Ragusa. The magic of their sound comes from the spontaneity of their interplay and the unique range of their repertoire.
They create a seamless blend of jazz, latin, classical and rock styles featuring the multi-faceted compositions of Grammy nominated composer Jeremy Wall, as well as selections from Pat Metheny, Keith Jarrett, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Eric Satie, and lesser known gems by Brazilian composers Vinicius de Moraes, Carlos Lyra, Ivan Lins, Baden Powell and Egberto Gismonti. The dynamic range of their shows are highlighted by the virtuosity John Ragusa displays on a variety of flutes. As the audiences at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC have discovered, riverrun’s scintillating performances are attractive to a wide variety of music listeners
