A weekend in Nyack is all about Rest, Relaxation, and Recreation!

Before you arrive:

Day One

Start your day with a cup of coffee from one of our local shops and head to Memorial Park. Early risers can take in a breathtaking sunrise along the majestic Hudson River from Nyack’s viewing platform.

Before you head out for a packed day of fun, stop into Casa del Sol or Brickhouse for a casual lunch.  Prefer to take your lunch to go?  True Food and Patisserie Didier Dumas won’t disappoint.

Begin your outing by heading a mile north on Broadway past the Victorian houses and mansions of Nyack towards Nyack Beach State Park and Hook Mountain State Park. Whether you want to walk, bike, or climb, this place has it all.  Take the 6-mile trail that curves along the edge where the base of the mountain and river meet, or meander through the countless woodsy trails of the Hook.

Head back to town and enjoy the eclectic charms of the downtown business district with some shopping before dinner. Saturday afternoon is a perfect time to visit the Edward Hopper House Art Center, open 12pm to 5pm Wednesday through Sunday.

For dinner, are you in the mood for Thai, Mediterranean, Italian, Spanish, French, pub food, or Mexican? Big eats, or small plates? Indoors or outdoors? Take your pick from one of our spectacular, world-class restaurants.

Nightlife is plentiful in Nyack where you can choose from abound of food and entertainment for all.  Catch a live theater performance or pick your favorite spot and settle in for an enjoyable evening.

Day Two

Mornings are filled with endless possibilities.  Pick from a traditional breakfast or a lavish weekend brunch as you get ready to explore Edward Hopper’s Nyack with this self-guided walking tour.

You could also explore Rockland’s Rivertowns: drive (or cycle) south to Piermont for a walk on the pier; drive north to Stony Point to visit the Revolutionary War battlefield, or historic Haverstraw (celebrating their 400th anniversary in 2016).

Finish off the day with dinner at a Nyack eatery.
