Playhouse Market InteriorNyack’s newest dining sensation, Playhouse Market, will host a red carpet celebration in honor of opening its doors in Nyack. The European-style market and eatery quietly opened at the end of February to test and prepare each of its unique food stations. With everything now in operation, they have planned a party and will donate the proceeds to the Rockland Center for the Arts.

“Our goal is to not only offer delicious healthy food in a comfortable and relaxed setting, but to also embrace the local art and culture in Rockland and what better way to do that than to host the celebration to support the Rockland Center for the Arts,” stated Dawn Hershko, designer and co-owner of Playhouse Market.

All are welcome to attend the event which will run from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The evening will include music by local musicians, tapas style appetizers prepared especially for the evening by Executive Chef David Anderson and unique desserts and sweets prepared by on-site Pastry Chef Lisa Dowe and an opportunity to dance! The cost for the evening is $49 and reservations must be made in advance by using this link http://playhousecelebration.eventbrite.com

“It is a joy for us to work with Playhouse Market for their grand opening and we are honored to be selected as the recipient for the evening. We look forward to working with them to expand the opportunities for local artists and musicians,” stated Julie Ramos, Executive Director of Rockland Center for the Arts.

Playhouse Market at 20 South Broadway in Nyack is where “local cuisine and culture take center stage.” Their offerings include a coffee shop featuring LaVazza coffee and creative pastries baked fresh daily on site, an organic food market, freshly prepared food to take home or eat in the Market prepared on-site by Executive Chef David Anderson, pizza from the Italian wood burning oven, a deli offering Mediterranean style food, smoked BB Q treats, as well as Paninis, soup and other signature lunch items, a raw bar, a butcher station, a juice bar as well as a beautiful marble bar where guests can enjoy wine and numerous on tap and craft beer during the evening. Cultural offerings will include workshops for adults and children as well as musical events. Wine and beer tastings will be offered in the coming months.
