Forgot to make dinner reservations? Don’t sweat it–we have the perfect solution! Nyack is truly the greatest for what’s known as a “progressive” date: you progress from place to place for each course.

Check out this amazing experience that Nyackers Christine and Greg Gritmon created on their last anniversary:

We’ve done a progressive date night before, but it had been a while. Last night, we celebrated our anniversary with starting with the astoundingly creamy and flavorful burrata at DPNB Pasta & Provisions. We added peppers to it for the first time; best done in moderation, but soooo good.

Next UP, we had cocktails and soup at UP Lounge & Restaurant. Hot buttered rum is our new favorite thing; definitely heading back while it’s still on the cocktail menu!

We followed that with more cocktails and charcuterie at Communal Kitchen, where the cocktails almost, almost outshone the incredible cheese selections, which we savored every bite of.

We had every intention of wrapping up with dessert at Hudson House, but we opted instead to quit while we were ahead. I’m semi-regretting that decision, because sticky toffee pudding cake.

I truly urge everyone to do the multi-location date sometime; Nyack has so many great options! Hot tip: If you’re worried about annoying wait staff by taking up a table for just one course, be low-maintenance and sit at the bar!
