Saturday Spotlight with 90 North
Why did you start your business?
90 North began with a search for community. Our founder, Robin, had worked from home for many years but found herself craving more collaboration and connection, so she created a space “where art and business meet.” What began as an idea for beautiful, art-filled spaces has grown into a vibrant community hub for work, workshops, meetings, celebrations, and life’s biggest milestones. Anchored by our sister business, Perry Lawson Fine Art, 90 North has become a place to reflect, connect, create, enjoy live music, and celebrate—all in a space that feels elegant, inspiring, and like home.
What does your business offer?
We offer a curated boutique event space for gatherings large and small, from conferences and workshops to celebrations and weddings. Our intimate indoor and outdoor spaces at 90 North can also be paired with the Edward Hopper House Museum and Study Center next door to host celebrations of up to 100 guests across both properties. When the venue isn’t rented, 90 North welcomes the community to enjoy rotating exhibitions from Perry Lawson Fine Art and a diverse calendar of events. Celebrate among sculptures in our garden, gather under the stars, or create a meeting space that inspires—we provide the setting, and you bring your vision and favorite vendors. Our indoor and outdoor spaces are ADA accessible.
What makes your business special/different?
90 North is not your traditional venue. If you’ve ever imagined celebrating in a beautiful garden surrounded by art, this might be the place for you. Our thoughtfully designed spaces are beautiful on their own—elegant and upscale without the need for elaborate decorations—but versatile enough to make your own. It’s an unforgettable alternative to the traditional meeting space or catering hall, where the setting itself becomes part of the experience.
Who is your target customer?
Our customers are adults looking for an elegant, creative, warm, and unconventional space to gather. From meetings, conferences, talks, and workshops to birthdays, anniversaries, welcome parties, and weddings, our boutique space accommodates a wide range of events. We also welcome corporate groups looking for an inspiring setting with breakout rooms, flexible work areas, and comfortable places to think, connect, and create.
What made you choose Nyack as the location for your business?
Nyack’s vibrant, creative community made it an easy choice for a business centered around art and connection. When the house next door to the historic Edward Hopper House Museum became available, it felt like the perfect fit. Being neighbors has also created a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with and share space alongside one of Nyack’s most beloved cultural institutions.
Where do you see your business in the future?
We hope 90 North becomes the place people think of when they’re ready to make their next business move or gather with the people who matter most. Just 30 miles from Manhattan, Nyack offers the perfect escape from the city, with its charming downtown, independent businesses, and creative spirit. We believe word will soon spread about this hidden gem—a beautiful space tucked inside a Victorian house, where people can gather, celebrate, and create memories surrounded by art.
