Get Out (or Stay In) and Create with Fall Art Classes at RoCA – Register now, classes begin on September 29th!
Are you looking for an expressive arts experience? Do you feel as though you need to get some creative juices flowing? Or, perhaps you want to calm your mind, improve your health/well-being through the process of artmaking and let your mind escape the world around you for a few hours.
This fall, engage in a creative process. Rockland Center for the Arts (RoCA) is providing a wide range of studio art experiences for all ages and skill levels: on-site, outdoors and on-line. RoCA is following all protocols for safe social distancing with outdoor tented classes, indoor classes spaced out and pottery studios divided into individual work stations. Students are required to wear masks and social distance. RoCA’s fall classes start September 29th. You can choose from a weekend workshop or 5 to 8-week session classes. Whether you are a beginner or honing a skill, you can try a pottery class of wheel throwing, hand building or sculpture. Create lampworked glass beads on the torch for jewelry with Stephanie Maddalena. Learn the basics of metal jewelry making with Rachel Bertoni’s new class. Or try any of our drawing or painting classes.
RoCA is offering classes for young people including indoor classes in pottery, outdoor classes in Anime/Manga, cartooning, and expressive painting and more!
Try any of our new virtual classes. Back by popular demand is the Virtual Soul Collage with Cynthia Shaw, a blend of collage, the power of self-inquiry and personal growth. Check out some of RoCA’s other online courses including botanical watercolor painting, Chinese brush painting, color pencil drawing, or Anime/Manga for kids. Delve into full creative expression with exercises and processes outlined in The Artist’s Way from author Julia Cameron.
New classes are being added weekly. Visit our website for updates!
