Nyack is a great place to live, work…and visit. Visit Nyack launched our new “Nyack Ambassador” awards this year, to recognize Nyackers who excel at supporting and promoting our Village. We’re pleased to introduce the winter 2015 class:

Matt Hudson, Hudson House of Nyack

GCN-Hudson-HouseMatt Hudson grew up in Rockland County, and for over 25 years he’s been co-owner (with Amy Lehman) of the Hudson House, in the heart of Nyack. Matt is Maitre d’, head baker, and resident artist…and he loves Nyack. You’ll find him most evenings at the front door, welcoming visitors with a warm smile.

Follow the Hudson House’s Facebook page to see Matt preparing the weekend’s dessert special every Friday afternoon.

Victoria Hertz and Carole Perry, Edward Hopper House Art Center

HopperHouse_ExteriorThe Edward Hopper House Art Center is the cultural heart of Nyack. Carole and Victoria are the heart of “Hopper House.” As co-directors they schedule exhibits and performances, make sure the lights stay on and the roof doesn’t leak, and spread the word about Edward Hopper’s hometown.
