DESCRIPTION:Voices on the Hudson is a satellite of Voices in the Heights\, a curated monthly music series featuring extraordinary songwriters. Come listen in a cozy cafe setting in the heart of Nyack! \nAdam Falcon‘s music ranges from folk to Rhythm ‘n’ Blues. He’s worked with various artists including the iconic songstress Roberta Flack. He was a semi-finalist in the prestigious International Songwriters Competition. Adam has opened for The James Cotton Blues Band\, Matt “Guitar” Murphy\, The Wailers\, Ruthie Foster\, Danielle Ponder\, Anders Osborne\, and Bob Schneider. \nAlex Radus is hailed as a “versatile crooner” and “skillful fretman”\, but his songwriting takes center stage. SUMMARY:VILLAGE STORIES (Fa la Femmina) by Antoinette LaVecchia
DESCRIPTION:VILLAGE STORIES \n(Fa la Femmina) \nwritten and performed by \nAntoinette LaVecchia \nwith classic Italian music and original music by \nJohn La Barbera \n“Fa la Femmina” is an expression that means “be a lady” or “behave\, you’re a woman” etc…This is what my Nonna said to me before she died on my last visit to Italy in 2006. \nVillage Stories (Fa la Femmina) is a collage of characters and stories from my Italian ancestry in one small Southern Italian town\, ESPECIALLY the women. Village Stories weaves music and storytelling to tell the universal story of how the past informs our present and future. It explores the violence\, the suffering\, the joys and the never-ending ENDURANCE of these people of the Earth who kept moving forward in spite of everything. \nRun time 60 minutes \nCash Bar available \n
