A deal with the Devil. \nBridgeMusik opens its 2026 Summer Festival — We the Music: Celebrating 250 Years of American Voices — with a bold\, fully staged production of Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale\, paired with the world premiere of Dedication to Faust by Thomas Cabaniss. \nBlending music\, theater\, and dance\, this visually compelling theatrical production reimagines Stravinsky’s iconic work for contemporary audiences. The Soldier’s Tale tells the story of a soldier who trades his violin to the Devil in exchange for wealth\, exploring timeless themes of temptation\, fate\, and the true cost of ambition. \nDirected by Malena Dayen and conducted by David Rosenmeyer\, the production features the BridgeMusik Festival Ensemble together with an outstanding cast of New York theater and dance artists: \n🎭 Danny Bryck — The Soldier🎭 Alok Tewari — The Devil🎭 Mary Neufeld — Narrator🎭 JoVonna Parks — The Princess / Dancer \nThe program also includes the world premiere of Dedication to Faust by acclaimed composer Thomas Cabaniss\, written especially for the festival. \n📍 Nyack Center — Nyack\, NY📅 Saturday\, August 1\, 2026 at 7:30 PM📅 Sunday\, August 2\, 2026 at 3:00 PM \n🎟 Seating is limited at Nyack Center — reserve your seats early. \nThis special theatrical production opens the BridgeMusik Summer Festival 2026 and sets the tone for a festival celebrating creativity\, collaboration\, and musical voices across generations. \nStravinsky — The Soldier’s Tale (L’Histoire du Soldat) is presented under license from G.
