Cottage Creek Gardens, a small home-based nursery located in Valley Cottage, is opening a new retail location on Main Street in Nyack. Specializing in perennials, small trees, shrubs, and seasonal seedlings, they sell plants that address specific needs or challenges common to home gardeners.
In trying to get help with maintenance for our own garden, owner Jennifer Giunta noticed that the typical “mow, blow and go” landscaping companies don’t offer quality garden bed maintenance. Even worse, when they do, the lack of horticulture knowledge and shortcuts can sometimes lead to damaged or even dead plants. That’s why she and her family opened Cottage Creek Gardens, not only to sell plants and seedlings, but to offer advice and consultations to help home gardeners thrive. They look forward to bringing this same specialized service to retail shoppers in Downtown Nyack when they open later this fall.
