ArtsRock celebrates its new season with a Classical Candlelight Concert featuring Trio Fadolín. This new program, Music From The Immigrant Experience is infused with the vibrant energy of folk music and living memories of the composers’ homelands in Ukraine, Armenia and the USA. Featuring music by Ukrainian composer Vasyl Barvinsky and klezmer violinist Yehiel Goyzman as well as New York-based composer and fadolín player, Ljova. A special addition to the program will be a newly discovered work by Mozart – Ganz Kleine Nachtmuzik.
The Trio features Sabina Torosjan on violin, Valeriya Sholokhova on cello, and composer/arranger Ljova, performing on the fadolín, a new six-stringed instrument that encompasses the range of the violin, viola, and most of the cello. Trio Fadolín has been presented by Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, the new Perelman Performing Arts Center (PACNYC) and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
