Rivertown Film Presents “Stop Time”:
A Study of Working Through Grief, Together
October 2026– A film about the way we observe profound loss and help one another lighten the
burden. That’s the story that “Stop Time” tells. Rivertown Film will screen the movie on
Wednesday, November 4th at The Nyack Center (58 Depew Ave., Nyack).
“Stop Time” follows one day in the lives of Peter, a photographer who has lost his wife, and
Adrianna, a lighting designer dealing with her own sorrow. Their lives circle one another, guided
by well-meaning friends who feel that each might offer the other a way out of their mutual
darkness. When they finally meet at the opening of Peter’s gallery exhibit, an emotional
alignment occurs between the two.
Director Paul Schwartz, a Rockland County resident, will be on hand for a post film discussion
Doors to the Nyack Center open at 7:00pm, and the film begins at 7:30pm. Tickets are
$13/General Admission, $11/Students & Seniors, and $9/Rivertown Film Members More
