Our January slam will be Saturday, January 4th at Round Table Brewery in Garnerville NY. It’s in the GARNER Arts Center — address is 55 W. Railroad Ave, Bldg #25 Garnerville, NY.
Doors/sign-ups at 6:30 PM; poetry from 7 to 9 PM. Adam B. will be hosting.
The theme for this slam is New Year, New Poems — you may only share or compete with poetry that has never before been in front of any audience. Your mom: okay, maybe. Your entire extended family: no. Your cat: probably. An entire alley full of cats: no, that’s an audience. HOW WILL WE KNOW, you might wonder. Just, you know, be . like . honest or whatever. Challenge yourself.
Admission is $10 general, $5 students/seniors/anyone who can’t afford $10 right now. Slam prizes will be $100 first, $25 second, free drink third.
