Joshua Furst’s critically acclaimed novel Revolutionaries, published by Knopf in 2019, was a New York Times Recommended Book and an Austin Chronicle Best Book of the Year. He’s also the author of The Sabotage Café—named to the 2007 year-end best-of lists of the Chicago Tribune, the Rocky Mountain News and the Philadelphia City Paper, as well as the winner of the 2008 Grub Street Fiction Prize—Short People, a collection of stories, and with the illustrator Katy Wu, The Little Red Stroller, a picture book for children. His work has appeared in, among many other periodicals, Esquire, Salon, The Chicago Tribune, A Public Space, The Baffler, BOMB, and The Forward, where he’s a contributing editor. A graduate with honors from The University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he now teaches at Columbia University.
