Don’t put your lawn chair away yet – Nyack’s getting a drive-in theatre so you and your family can watch Classic Cartoons! On Sunday, get out and about at Nyack’s Family Bike Day, or visit Piermont for Lobsterfest, Art in the Park, and more!

  • Tailgate or pull up a lawn chair to an evening ofClassic Cartoons at the Nyack “Drive-In” theatre brought to you by Rivertown Film. Free, 7:45p at the Artopee Way parking lot, Main St, Nyack.
  • Attend a Sacred Healing Sound Bath. Dissolve your stress and immerse yourself in the healing sound vibrations of crystal singing bowls and chimes, the harmonium, soft guitar, and angelic voices weaving sacred mantras into the soundscape. 7p at Union Arts Center, 2 Union St, Sparkill.

  • ad_BikeNyack255x219“Rolling down the river” gets a whole new meaning when the Bike Nyack community ride follows the Hackensack River through Rockland and Bergen counties to Oradell, NJ. Meet up at 8:30a, Piermont & Depew Aves, Nyack.
  • Opening reception for an exhibition of new paintings byCarol Greiff Lagstein. Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 2-6, or by appointment. 5-8p at Gallery 85, 85 South Broadway.
  • Take a rollicking romp through 16th century England at the New York Renaissance Faire! Costumed characters, dancers, strolling minstrels, storytellers and magicians amuse you while you visit the marketplace of period crafts. Faire runs every Sat & Sun 10a-7p through 9/27 at Sterling Forest at Tuxedo Park, 600 Route 17A.
  • Enjoy Saturday Night Salsa with Pete Nater. Dance lessons at 8p, and the band starts at 11p at West Gate Lounge at Best Western, 26 Route 59, Nyack.

  • It’s Nyack Family Bike Day in Memorial Park on the Hudson. Activities include an escorted ride to Nyack Beach State Park, a ride along the Esposito Rail Trail, as well as the AAA Bike Skills Rodeo, bicycle clinics and live entertainment by The Jeff Rubin Band. Free. Parents must ride with their kids, helmets required (it’s the law!). 12n – 4p in Memorial Park.
  • Flywheel ParkPiermont features art, seafood and history this Sunday. It’s Art in the Park from 1-6p at Piermont’s Flywheel Park. Lobsterfest is seafood AND live music by the Jug Addicts ten piece jug band from 2-6p at the Goswick Pavilion. And the village’s contribution to American history and the movie business will be on display from 12-3p at the Piermont Historical Society‘s Train Station museum, 50 Ash St.
  • Join the fun at the Hudson River Barn Dance! The dance is free and open to all – beginners and seasoned dancers alike. 2 to 4p at the Alpine Pavilion.
  • Edward Hopper’s Nyack Walking Tour: See through the eyes of the late world famous realist painter and Nyack native. This tour highlights the influence of light, water and architecture. $5, 2p, Hopper House Art Center, 82 N Broadway.
  • Join A Conversation About Restorative Justice: How Individuals and Communities Can Deal with Violent Crime moderated by Tony Award winning playwright and activist Eve Ensler at the Nyack Center. 7p, 58 Depew Ave.
