The Burger Loft owners, brothers Kirk and Dimitri Theofanides, are third-generation restaurateurs who grew up working in their father’s pizza shop, learning the ins and outs of great food and hospitality from an early age. After spending 25 years as locals, Kirk, Dimitri, and their partner, John, saw the perfect opportunity to create a welcoming space where people could gather, unwind, and enjoy high-quality food without the high price tag.

What sets The Burger Loft apart is its commitment to quality and simplicity. The menu may be small, but every dish is packed with bold flavors, with everything made in-house from scratch. Their signature burgers feature a unique, house-crafted meat blend, and they strive to keep prices reasonable despite the rising costs of dining out. Beyond the food, the restaurant proudly serves beers from District 96 Brewery, offering both drafts and four-packs to go, shipped directly from their New City location.

With a strong focus on community, The Burger Loft attracts both locals and tourists who appreciate a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Families with children, art lovers, and poetry enthusiasts will find something special here, as the eatery hosts monthly gatherings for the Rockland Art Club and Rockland Poetry Club, providing a platform for local creatives. As for the future, expansion isn’t out of the question—this is already their second location, and a third may be on the horizon.

Whether you’re a longtime resident or just passing through, The Burger Loft is more than a place to eat—it’s a space to connect, enjoy, and be part of a growing community tradition.
