Nyack Farmers' Market

As t-shirts, bathing suits and shorts make their way into our storage bins, our thoughts turn to fall — that crisp, breezy and cozy time of year. So grab your boots, corduroys, and scarves and head to the Hudson Valley village of Nyack. Our charming and captivating town is the perfect destination to celebrate autumn’s rich traditions.

You will want to catch some of Nyack’s fun fall festivities, including our famous Halloween Parade on Saturday, Oct. 29, our Farmers’ Market every Thursday, and Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, which takes place the first two weeks in November.

Best Costume contestants in the Nyack Halloween Parade

The Nyack Halloween parade is a bold and beautiful spectacle that celebrates creative spookiness at its best, providing children and adults with a venue for showing off incredible costumes and flair. As one resident recently declared, “What other town celebrates its diversity, sense of fun and love of the macabre the way Nyack does?” Nyack residents and visitors enjoy this favorite holiday either by joining the parade as participants or taking in the sights as a bystander. Floats and costumes are sometimes crafted for months. Plus marching bands, vintage cars, decorated fire trucks, and surprise visitors to boot. While you’re here, look around town for the Halloween shop windows painted by our local high school students.

For a change of pace, enjoy lush autumn scenery and elegant riverfront homes, plus the the amazing Tappan Zee Bridge construction project — all viewed from the Hudson River with Nyack Boat Charter.

When it comes to dining in Nyack, our diverse eateries certainly reflect this ebullient town. We offer everything from casual pubs, outdoor cafes, and family-friendly joints to world-class restaurants. We boast food from Peru, Thailand, Japan, Germany, India, Mexico, and Italy.

Not only is the Hudson Valley a visual treat for the eye, but for those who prefer a little more action and time to reflect with nature, check out our hiking and cycling trails. Some summits are simply breathtaking.

Visit Nyack today — one visit will capture your heart.
