Visit Nyack announced three new Nyack Ambassadors, the first 2016 recipients, at our meeting on March 1st, 2016, hosted by the West Gate Inn. The Nyack Ambassador Award recognizes area businesses and organizations that contribute to making Nyack a great destination and a great place to live.

Beverly and Seth Gopin own Metal & Stone Jewelers at 12 South Broadway. Combined, they have over 40 years of experience in the jewelry industry. From their vantage point in the heart of Nyack’s business district they’ve seen businesses come and go, watched community kids grow, and helped customers find the perfect graduation gifts, wedding ring, anniversary present, and “just for me” gift.
Beverly and Seth love Nyack. With their weekly “Pick of the Week” email blasts they share the Visit Nyack message and a link to our events calendar; and they use social media to promote Nyack events as well as their own in-store events.
Beverly created and runs the annual Nyack Indoor Street Fair each December, an event she produces with the Nyack Chamber of Commerce. Local shops and independent artists and craftspeople come together to kick off the holiday shopping season in style.

Tom Lynch worked for owners Gina and Jorge Cambre when Casa del Sol first opened in 1997. In September 2015, Tom and his wife, Kathy, purchased the restaurant from the Cambres and have proceeded to put their own stamp on the restaurant – new menu, new chef, and new attitude.
“Casa” is a vital part of Nyack’s transformation, attracting visitors to the village while also supporting the community. Tom has even joined the Nyack Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, lending his experienced voice to the dialogue about Nyack’s present and future.

Nyack Hospital is a community hospital in every sense of the phrase. They are there for us when we are sick or injured, providing quality, caring attention in our times of need. The Hospital also reaches out to the community to remind of to take care of ourselves, with health screening services, breast cancer awareness efforts, and more.
Nyack Hospital was an early supporter of Visit Nyack and they have continued to support the campaign. They also use their digital presence to share our events and accolades, recognizing that a thriving and vital village is good business for the hospital.
